Photos by Taylor Cole With all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, it's so nice when you find versatile pieces that can work from day to night, from work to holiday party. This little ivory dress from Piperlime's collection is definitely a dressed up little party dress at first glance, but in a pinch, it works just as well for a day around town. Add on a military-inspired jacket (this one from CAbi has been on major rotation lately), booties, and an easy crossbody to take a lacy number from night to day. Once the sun goes down, switch up the footwear to heels, add a dressy jacket, and grab a clutch to fit right in at the holiday soiree. How are you making your holiday chic a little easier this year? xoxo Piperlime dress (c/o); CAbi jacket; Steve Madden booties (c/o) Piperlime; Joelle Hawkens bag (c/o); Henri Bendel sunglasses; Michael Kors watch

For the beauty lover or girly girl on your list, you can't go wrong with a great makeup collection or kit, and bareMinerals has a ton of great ones. I'll be wrapping up a couple of the above kits for gals on my list and saving a few for myself. (I mean, they're too good to give them all away, not gonna lie.) Check out the eight gifts below to give the gift of beauty this holiday season. xoxo Metaphor sweater and skirt (c/o) Sears; Call It Spring heels (c/o); French Connection bag (c/o); Ray-Ban sunglasses; bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie lipstick in Risk It All Today I'm once again showing a little easy holiday style, and once again I'm featuring the newly re-launched Metaphor Collection from Sears. With easy mix-and-match separates, holiday dressing doesn't have to be high maintenance. This quilted and embellished sweater can go casual with jeans or dressed up with a flippy neutral mini skirt like this cream version. An oxblood heel, simple clutch, and bold lip complete the look for throw-on-and-go option when you're pressed for time. Hope everyone has an amazing weekend!
xoxo Photos thanks to Taylor Cole Photography When it comes to holiday dressing, the options in my closet can get pretty old pretty quick, but I've got a couple black jumpsuits that always seem to pull me out of a jam. It may seem unlikely, but a black jumpsuit is definitely one of my go-to pieces for the holidays and anytime really. They're so versatile and pretty unexpected in a sea of LBD's and sparkly things. This season, I'm teaming up with Sears to bring you a little gift-giving and holiday style, and this jumpsuit is a total score from the recently re-launched Metaphor Collection from Sears. While it's on sale for less than $25, you really can't go wrong. Add a jeweled belt, heeled sandals, and statement clutch (also from Sears), and the look is instantly day-to-night sleek. (And bonus: in soft, slinky fabrics, they're as comfortable as they are on point.) If the upcoming holiday parties have you in a wardrobe rut, I'd definitely recommend jumpsuit-ing yourself, and no better place to start than Sears. xoxo It’s more than a gift. It’s the joy of the season.#MoreThanAGift Disclosure: Compensation was provided by Sears via Mode Media. Photos thanks to Taylor Cole Photography Dress and booties (c/o) Marshalls; Rebecca Minkoff bag; La Mer Collections watch; Ray-Ban sunglasses; Kendra Scott ring; Gorjana bracelet; bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie lipstick in Risk It All Last week I checked out the brand new Marshalls store in Hollywood, and today I'm sharing a couple of my Fab Finds. These little shoe/booties were one of the first things that caught my eye in the store, but because I need another pair of booties right now like I need a hole in my head, I tried to steer clear and stick with a few fresh clothing options for fall. One of my goals was to find an easy shift or shirt dress that I can wear now and into fall with a jacket and booties. When I came across this one, the fit was just what I was looking for, so I bought it in two colors. (Hey, it was early. I'm not great at decision-making at 7:00 am.) Then after a little more roaming around the store and just because I couldn't help myself, I swung back around for the booties, because, oh, what's one more pair? I love the black and white of this look paired with a bold lip, and I know these pieces will be in heavy rotation this fall...if fall ever gets here. Hope everyone is having a great week!
xoxo P.S. - Don't forget to enter the $500 Shopbop Giveaway! Photos thanks to Taylor Cole Wallis blouse and jacket (c/o); Sanctuary pants; Forever 21 clutch; Call It Spring heels (c/o); Ray-Ban sunglasses It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of fur. Fur anything. (Well, almost.) Mainly fur jackets and vests, a favorite new clutch, and a throw blanket on my couch that I probably use when it's a little too warm to do so. Needless to say, when checking out Wallis' new "W Collection", this burgundy leather-trimmed fur baby was a definite standout. After styling this Wallis printed blouse for now in Monday's post, today I'm styling it for later, once the temperatures drop. I love pairing oxblood with light blue for the fall, and this pairing is no exception. Faux leather leggings and ankle-strap heels complete the look. Now if we could only get some of those cooler temps... xoxo Photos thanks to Taylor Cole Wallis blouse (c/o); Forever 21 shorts; Sam Edelman boots (similar here); H&M necklace, bracelet, and clutch The British fashion brand Wallis has released a brand new, limited-edition "W Collection" for fall and holiday, and it is so good. (And psst, it's all on sale!) The premium collection includes high end basics like knitwear and leather pants and luxe standouts like this sequined dress, perfect for the holidays. While we're still in the middle of our Indian summer here in Southern California, I decided to take this printed blouse from the collection for a spin and style it for now and later (coming to the blog later this week). The shirt is a pretty strong piece on its own, so I kept things pretty simple with leather shorts peeking out, fringe suede boots, and a couple of statement jewels. It's an easy bohemian look that can go from day to night. Stay tuned this week to see this shirt into the winter months.
xoxo For the past year or so, I've been addicted to gel manicures. Chipped polish drives me nuts, and I love that the gel lasts through anything: a day at the beach, washing dishes, shower after shower. What I don't like is what my nails look like after removing the gel (so bad) and the fact that I actually have to go back to the salon to have it removed. Mainly though, I'm sure by now we've all heard that we should be wary of the UV light that we're exposing ourselves to during a gel manicure. It's questioned as a possible skin cancer risk, and really, is it worth it for a manicure? Probably not. Enter Sally Hansen® Miracle Gel™, an amazing at-home alternative that provides the lasting effects of gel without the harmful UV light. You paint it on as you would any polish and finish with the Miracle Gel™ Top Coat, and that's it. You have a chip-free, high-shine manicure that lasts up to 14 days. And of course I wanted to share this with my friends. So recently I had a little pamper party, complete with Sally Hansen® Miracle Gel™ manicures and pedicures, a bloody mary bar, cheese and crackers, and a few magazines. My "Perfect Pair" manicure is a mix of "Bare Dare" (a creamy nude color) and "Game of Chromes" (a metallic gold). I'm loving the colors, and there's not a chip in sight. Now, you can enter to win the top 10 shades of Sally Hansen® Miracle Gel™ so that you can check out the new formula and maybe even throw a little pamper party of your own. Head over here to see the rules and guidelines. Good luck! xoxo Sally Hansen® Miracle Gel™ At Last! Gel without the light! “Disclosure: Compensation was provided by Sally Hansen® via Mode Media. Photos thanks to Zack Seckler and T.J.Maxx/Marshalls Sweatshirt, skirt, heels, bag all (c/o) T.J.Maxx New York Fashion Week can definitely be one of the most challenging trips for me when it comes to packing. There's the "I have nothing to wear" meltdown followed by the "holy crap I need to go shopping" epiphany. In an effort to look pulled together and on-trend without completely breaking the bank, I definitely make it a priority to check out Marshalls and T.J.Maxx a few times in the weeks leading up to the trip. It's amazing how many quality wardrobe staples and trendy extras you can find. I've always found great looks at T.J.Maxx and Marshalls, but lately, they've stepped it way up. (I'm talking designer dresses and handbag heaven.) For this past NYFW, I first found these shoes and knew I wanted to find a look that was sporty for fall. I thought the sweatshirt was so fun, and this skirt is one of those pieces that I'll have forever. The bag was the final piece of the puzzle, and I added in my own jewelry to personalize it. A big thanks to T.J.Maxx and Marshalls for one of my favorite looks this #NYFW. What are some of your favorite fab finds? xoxo New York Fashion Week is definitely a time when you want to look your best and possibly stand out among a sea of fashionable women, so when Aloxxi invited me create a "head-turning look" with fresh locks, I jumped at the chance. Like many blondes, I've been highlighting my hair for years, but I still have trouble communicating what I really want with a stylist. Whenever I want a change, I always bring in pictures and have an idea in my head of what look I'm going for, but a stylist will usually tell me I'm all over the place. So, armed with no clue what I wanted, yesterday I headed over to the Devachan Salon in SOHO and met with the amazing Aloxxi Artistic Advisor Marilyn. She totally put me at ease with a full consultation complete with photos and hair swatches of what I could expect. Aloxxi has created what they call Color Personalities, an idea that's really pretty genius, and it turns out my personality is "Blonde Bambino." With over 100 color personalities to choose from, the overall end results (created by professional hairdressers) will change how you define your hair color into fun, memorable personalities, instead of something you find hard to put into words. After yesterday's Blonde Bambino transformation, my hair felt soft, healthy, and manageable, and there was definitely a little bounce in my step. I left the salon feeling ready to take on my first day of NYFW (and maybe even turn a head or two). xoxo The Before and After: Photos thanks to Kaela Rodehorst Photography Nordstrom shirtdress (similar); JustFab booties (c/o); Rebecca Minkoff bag; C.Wonder sunglasses; Forever 21 necklace and bracelets; La Mer Collections watch Disclosure: This post was sponsored by Aloxxi and Lucky Magazine, but all opinions are 100% my own.
